Terms and Conditions
1. Legal Identity
Prime Deed Polls is a trading name of GB Legal Solutions Limited, a company registered in Scotland under company number SC488950. Our registered office is located in Hamilton, Scotland. All references to "the Company", "we", "us", or "our" within these terms refer to GB Legal Solutions Limited.
2. Nature of Service
We provide a professional document drafting service. GB Legal Solutions Limited is not a law firm. We do not provide legal advice, and our services are not a substitute for the advice of a solicitor. Our service is limited to the preparation of name change documentation based solely on the information provided by the customer.
3. Customer Accuracy
The customer is solely responsible for the accuracy of the names, dates of birth, and addresses provided during the application. Once a document has been drafted and dispatched on archival parchment, corrections due to customer error will incur a full reprint and administration fee.
4. Refund & Cancellation
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, the right to cancel within 14 days does not apply to goods that are made to the consumer's specifications or are clearly personalised.
As our Deed Polls are bespoke legal documents, drafting typically begins within one hour of order placement. No refunds can be issued once the drafting process has commenced.
5. Guaranteed Acceptance
We guarantee that our Deed Polls will be accepted by all UK government departments, including HM Passport Office and the DVLA. If a document is rejected due to a drafting error on our part, we will provide a corrected replacement at no additional cost. We are not liable for rejections caused by a lack of parental consent or third-party witness issues.
6. Governing Law
These terms and any dispute arising from them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland, and the Scottish courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
